A puck lock (shrouded shackle padlock) used with a side-track bolt is the gold standard. Because these locks have no exposed “hoop,” a thief cannot use bolt cutters or a hacksaw to break them. For added security, install internal slide bolts that lock the door directly to the steel frame.
