SMP (Silicone-Modified Polyester) is a durable, cost-effective finish that is harder and more scratch-resistant, making it ideal for agricultural and industrial buildings. PVDF (Kynar 500®) is a premium resin known for superior color retention and UV resistance. While PVDF is more expensive and slightly softer, it is the best choice for extreme environments such as coastal areas or high-altitude sites because it resists fading and “chalking” far better than SMP over time.
